Grow Check- 8 months

Ben is 29 inches long and 20 lbs 10 ounces according to Dr. Mommy. He is scooting, pulls himself to standing and has his two bottom teeth. Love it!

Kate's Garden

Just a few pictures of some of Kate's produce from her garden so far this year. Along with the carrots and sweet peas that have already been "harvested," there is also a whole bunch of green tomatoes (we are racing the squirrels to get to the red ones first), and we are awaiting our fall crop of strawberries. With our first summer of successful fruits and veggies, we have plans to expand next year and make more raised beds.

Not from our garden, but from a friend's.

Visiting California and the Groenes

The Gilberts have been racking up the frequent flier points this July. We just arrived back from our trip to California, where we visited Auntie Sarah, Uncle Brian, Cousin Ethan and new Cousin Brandon. During the flight out, Ben even made friends with the stewardesses when he waved at them through the majority of the flight. They invited him in the cockpit for a picture. How neat! Ben and Cousin Ethan had a great time together and we were all so excited to meet new Baby Brandon! He is such a sweetie. Thanks for having us out Sarah and Brian! We hope to see you again soon.
We are frequent Southwest fliers!
Thanks pilots; we had fun!

I don't want help with my bath, Cousin!

Visit to Denver

The Gilberts just spent a terrific 5 days in the Mile High City. We spent time with Grand-dad, Grammy, Uncle Lee, Aunt Britt, and all our other wonderful family and friends. Ben went on his first plane ride, went into the mountains and even got to ride on a gondola. Our family joined Aunt Mollie, Cousin Madelyn, and new cousin Sawyer at story hour at the library, singing songs and listening to stories. We had a great trip and are grateful to have such special people in Benjamin's and our lives!

This flying thing isnt bad at all!

The prettiest rainbow we have ever seen!

Thanks for the hat Aunt Britt!

Summer time, what fun!

We have had quite a busy summer here in Owensboro! Taking walks, riding bikes, visiting Great Gram and spending time with friends is making time pass quickly. We hope you all are having a great summer too!

I love you Great Gram
